Bullying Prevention Program
(Part I: Gr. 1-3; Part II: Gr. 4-6: Part III: Gr. 7-9: Part IV: Gr. 10-12:)
The issue of bullying needs to be addressed! Students need to know what is acceptable
and what is not. Dr. C. Sturdy presents practical
ideas on how they can deal with bullying at school and in the community.
The Give & Take of Being a Kid
(Part I:Gr. 1-3; Part II: Gr. 4-6)
So
the adults in their world seem demanding - this session
helps kids cope with the stress of being a kid. It's an entertaining,
yet practical session for elementary school-aged children. Dr. Sturdy presents practical
ideas on how they can lessen their own worries and stressors.
Topics range from doing chores, to studying in school, to dealing
with divorce and separation.
L.E.A.N. Active Kids!
(Part I:Gr. 1-3; Part II: Gr. 4-6)
Kids come in many body shapes and sizes! Regardless of their body shape more
and more kids are becoming increasingly overfat & underfit. Dr. Sturdy uses a
combination of humour, facts and insights in this session for kids.
The focus of this session is on ways to increase fitness levels and improve
nutritional habits! The acronym L.E.A.N. stands for Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition.
Teens' Stress
(Gr. 7-9)
Teens learn what stresses out parents, teachers, coaches, and
adults in general. Practical ideas are presented to help them
cope with the changes they are going through during this stage
in their life.
L.E.A.N. Active Adolescents
(Gr. 7-9)
An alarming percentage of adolescent kids are overfat & underfit. Dr. C. Sturdy uses
humour, facts and insights to outline this trend and offers many practical suggestions
to kids on what to do about it. The focus of this session is on ways to increase fitness levels and improve

High School Stress
(Gr. 10-12)
Peer pressure to join friends in anti-social behaviours, alcohol, drugs, gambling and sex
becomes intense during these years in a pre-adult's life. Dr. Sturdy presents
practical alternatives to unhealthy choices while maintaining one's integrity
and friendships.
Be a F.A.N.(Fitness And Nutrition) of Healthy Living
(Gr. 10-12)
High School is an important bridge to adulthood. Healthy minds are important, but let's not
forget the need for healthy bodies. Dr. Sturdy offers insights into the growing trend
of overfat & underfit kids in our society and what they need to do to avoid being one of them!
Finding and making time for fitness, as well as monitoring nutritional habits is the emphasis of this session.
